OUR MISSION
The mission of the CASA Program for Bracken, Fleming, and Mason Counties is to provide trained community volunteers to speak on behalf of children who are victims of dependency, neglect and/or abuse.

Every year more than a half million abused and neglected children are in need of safe, permanent, nurturing homes. That's where CASA steps in. CASA, an acronym for Court-Appointed Special Advocates, was created in 1977 to ensure the safety of such children and provide trained advocates to represent them in the court system. CASA strives to provide one volunteer for each and every child in need.

As special advocates, CASA volunteers are fully sanctioned by district judges to be an official voice for these children during court hearings. The result is that children are placed into a safe, loving home where they can thrive in a stable family environment.

I'm Jason. I'm 8 years old and have spent most of my life moving from one apartment to the next. I've attended 6 schools in my life. My Dad left us when I was 2 and my mother doesn't know how to get her life together. She's been in jail more than she's been home. She's not a bad Mom, just confused. I miss her a lot. But, I don't think she'll ever get off drugs. I'm worried about my little sister, too. I don't know where they sent her. I wish I had someone who could help me understand everything that's happening. I feel so lost.
